Making Learning Visible

Making Learning Visible

Teachers at Castleman Creek Elementary are making learning visible with InfuseLearning. This website is a great formative assessment tool that allows teachers to ask students questions on the fly to see who is understanding concepts and who is not. Teachers can see student responses as they come in. This allows the teacher to make informed decisions about how to proceed with the lesson. Students can respond with drawings, open ended responses, text, multiple choice, etc… In this video, Kristen McBee, a 4th grade teacher at CCE, used InfuseLearning to quickly assess her students understanding of compound sentences. Students had to read some examples of compound sentences and decide how they were joined together. Students were able to see others’ responses and learn from their thinking.
