Touring the World with Google Earth

Global Field Trip

Social Studies students at Woodgate Intermediate school recently traveled around the world. This trip was made possible by technology and creative teachers. You see, the students did not miss a minute of school time or suffer a second of jet lag because this field trip was virtual. Using the Google Earth App and a class set of iPads student’s experienced global travel and 3d virtual tours of important global landmarks. This adventure engaged students as they learned about geography and absolute location.
