The Collaboration Station @ Woodgate!

To better reflect the 21st Century work world, many colleges and universities have built collaborative learning spaces. A collaborative learning space is an area where students can engage with each other to solve problems, discuss ideas, and develop products outside of the confines of a traditional classroom. Often these spaces are fluid, include furniture that is mobile, and offers access to technology that can enrich collaborative work. Recently Woodgate Intermediate School, with a grant from the Midway Education Foundation, repurposed a space to create a collaborative learning environment called the Collaboration Station. Teachers can bring their classes to the Collaboration Station and students can work together as they develop, design, and create in an open environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
